Monitor Java / J2EE Web Transactions
  • Do you want to know which J2EE or Java component is responsible for the performance bottleneck ?
  • Do you want to know which SQL Query slows down your web application ?

ManageEngine® J2EE Web Transactions Monitor helps to better visualize J2EE Web Transactions end to end, with performance metrics of all components starting from URLs to SQL queries.

End to End Breakup of a J2EE Web Transaction, from URL to SQL

Performance metrics of Java/ J2EE components, EJB, and SQL statements executed by the URL can be traced. Further, to identify bottlenecks in performance, a trail of the Java method invocations can be seen to identify the offending code.

The J2EE Web Transactions Monitor is supported for application servers running JRE 1.5 and higher.

Web transaction monitoring

The execution time of the URL and status is displayed along with the performance data for the various components like Java/ J2EE components, EJB, and SQL. By clicking on a specific URL, the execution details (Trace) for that particular URL is displayed as a tree structure. The trace will chart the sequence of the internal invocations (methods) of the URL.

Web transaction monitoring

You can also identify the SQL queries executed during the transaction and hence identify the worst performing database queries.

Note: J2EE Web Transaction Monitor can be evaluated with our Professional Edition or Enterprise Edition (trial for 30 days). You can place a request for evaluation license here.

With support for sub-groups, this becomes easily visible to the Head of Operations. Now you should be able to see that the overall business application had a 99.985% availability and can then check the reports and interpret how the downtimes total up...... read full blog
