Branch/Remote Offices

When computers in different locations are connected via Internet, the Desktop Central Server has to be installed and configured as an edge device. This means that the designated port (default being 8020) should be accessible through Internet. You need to adopt necessary security standards to harden the OS where the Desktop Central Server is installed.

The Desktop Central agents installed in the managed computers of the remote locations contact the Desktop Central server periodically to pull the instructions available for them and update the status and data back to the Server.
